whose streets, our streets
A man at the front of the Occupy Toronto march leads the chant, \”Whose streets? Our streets!\” as the 200-strong group nears Ryerson University campus on Oct. 17, day three of the protest. The demonstration, in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street in New York City, is just one of more than 900 that have exploded in cities worldwide.
Demonstrators in Toronto have set up camp in St. James Park and plan to remain there indefinitely. The impromptu community currently includes a media tent, a food table with donations from local suppliers, a sign-making post, and wi-fi Internet access.
